NESTON won a thrilling clash with Brooklands in the Cheshire County Premier League with an unbeaten 109 from Dom Smith the highlight.

Smith’s knock along with 57 not out from Luke Jones took Neston to 257-6 off their 55 overs. Rowan Shelton (6-53) and Ashley Davis (3-57) the combined to dismiss the hosts 11 runs short of the target.

Oxton suffered a heavy defeat at Alderley Edge after they were bowled out for 97 with the hosts knocking off the runs for the loss of three wickets.

Steve Graham took 4-48 for Port Sunlight in Division Two as they restricted Christleton to 180-8 with the same player then hitting 55 as the hosts reached the target with five wickets down. Ben Nuttall struck 53.
