WALLASEY lead the Love Lane Liverpool Competition Premier League after a 91 run over Newton le Willows.

Opener Jamie Crawley continued his fantastic season with a knock of 101 to set up the host’s total of 244-6 off 55 overs. Sumit Ruikar (5-100) and Andrew Beaver (5-41) the combined to dismiss the visitors for 153.

New Brighton occupy one of the relegation spots despite Matthew Thompson taking 5-7 as they bowled out Ormskirk for 185. Only three batters could then reach double figures as the Wirral side were skittled for 100.

Birkenhead Park gained a vital win as Alex Baker (5-36) and Ahmad Safi Abdullah (5-43) dismissed Orrell Red Triangle for 80. It was a nervy chase but the hosts sealed a five wicket victory off 17 overs.

Caldy dragged themselves out of the relegation zone in Division One after a win at fellow strugglers Northop Hall. Chris Edwards top scored with 68 as the hosts posted 188 all out before Daniel Hamm (5-36) and Corne Nel (4-26) starred with the ball to dismiss the Welsh side for 122.

Parkfield Liscard are still without a win at the foot of Division Two after Sutton posted 205-9 at Pembertons Meadow. Mike Keogh managed 41 but the hosts were dismissed for 129.

In Division One of the Cheshire Cricket League Sam Morley-Mason took (4-26) for Wirral as they restricted Lymm to 142 all out before an unbeaten 60 from skipper David Lewis sealed an eight wicket win.

Irby are struggling near the foot of Division Two after conceding a total of 258 all out to Westminster Park. An unbeaten 85 from Casey Sawley-Elliott was the highlight as the hosts reached 170-6.

Burton registered a huge victory in Division Three over Malpas after Ian Corner took 5-12 to dismiss the hosts for just 58 in reply to 221-8. Dan Cook (59) and Alex Hind (63).

Kerridge racked up a massive 358-3 against Tranmere Vics who were bowled out for 109 in reply.
