NESTON sit seventh in the Cheshire County Cricket Premier League after an impressive four wicket win over Didsbury.

Chris Finegan (4-28) and Ashley Davis (3-54) combined as the visitors posted 202 all out before a brilliant unbeaten 87 from Simon Stokes sealed the victory for Neston.

Oxton suffered a chastening day at home to Nantwich who reached 225 for seven off their 55 overs with Jordan Collier (3-64) the pick of the bowlers. Oxton collapsed to 103 all out with Collier (35) the top scorer.

In Division Two, Port Sunlight got their first win of the season after Martin Naylor (5-27) and James Roberts (3-38) helped dismiss Hale Barnes for just 107. Opener Wayne Greve (32) led the successful chase in a six wicket victory.

Upton had a day to forget after they were skittled for just 57 with Stockport Georgians wrapping up an easy nine wicket win.

Maritime lost to Ashley in Division Three by 61 runs after failing to chase the visitor’s 203 all out.
