NESTON recorded a draw in the Cheshire County Premier League despite Widnes racking up a mammoth 310 for four.

Matthew Strong top scored with 65 and Dom Smith hit 43 as Neston’s reply closed on 220 for eight.

Oxton fell to a heavy defeat at Didsbury after the hosts reached 253 all out with Jack Corran taking four for 53. In reply the visitors could only make 137 with Grant Hughes (26) top scoring.

In Division Two, Upton came away from Warrington with a hard-earned draw after three wickets apiece for Liam Sundve (3-62) and Philip McGowan (3-43) restricted the hosts to 191 for seven. Luca Di Stefano (36) top scored as the visitors reached 170 for eight in reply.

Port Sunlight remain bottom and winless despite Ryan Kearney’s 58 helping them make 162 all out. against Davenham. The hosts lost just two wickets in reaching the target.

Maritime beat Tattenhall in their Division Three clash after Gavasker Kanthiraj (4-17) and Vishal Barigela (3-9) got the wickets to dismiss the hosts for 84. Chalitha Samarasekara (38) ensured the target was reached for the loss of two wickets.
