OXTON made it two wins from two in the Cheshire County Premier League with a five wicket victory over Alderley Edge.

Joe Mennie (3-39), Chris Stenhouse (4-44) and Jordan Collier (3-41) dismissed the visitors for 163 before Matthew Jones (45) top scored in the successful run chase.

Neston recorded their first win of the season as they triumphed by 34 runs over Brookfields.

Some good hitting down the order took Neston to 176 all out with opening bowlers Ashley Davis (3-41) and Rowan Shelton (4-32) finishing the job as the visitors were dismissed for 142.

In Division Two, Upton are still without a victory after losing by 42 runs at Cheadle Hulme. Lachlan Ford (3-30) and Philip McGowan (3-48) did their job with the ball to restrict the hosts to 153 for nine but the Upton batters crumbled to 111 all out despite 43 from opener Chris Stowell-Smith.

Port Sunlight prop up the table after drawing a high scoring thriller with Christleton who reached 240 for eight. The visitors closed on 225 for nine with Wayne Greave (63) and Ben Nuttall (69) the top scorers.
