FANS of women's football have a great opportunity to watch some silverware lifted this weekend.

Liverpool FC Women's final home league game of the season at Prenton Park is set for a 12pm kick-off on Sunday, April 24.

The Reds' fixture against Sheffield United Women - after which they will be presented with the FA Women's Championship trophy - will take place at noon to allow as many fans as possible to attend with the men's team in Merseyside derby action at 4.30pm.

Fans are encouraged to get to Prenton Park in good time as lots of free activities will be taking place in the free fan park outside the ground – including soccer cages, a penalty shootout cage, a speed cage, face painter and, of course, Mighty Red will be attending to meet all the youngsters.

A retail pod will also be in place at the family fun park, where fans can buy lots of ‘Champions’ merchandise celebrating the title win.

The Fans Supporting Foodtruck van will also be attending on Sunday from 10.30am, allowing supporters, players, staff and team officials to donate food to help tackle food poverty on Merseyside.

The Reds are looking to extend an unbeaten run of 19 games that has swept them to the title with two games to spare.

The players will be meeting and greeting supporters after the game.

The match will also be a 'Kids for a Quid' fixture with all U16s tickets costing just £1.

Matt Beard's side secured the title last weekend thanks to a 4-2 victory at Bristol City Women, which will see them return to the Women's Super League next season.

Supporters attending the Sheffield United fixture will be housed in the Bebington Paddock and Bebington End of the ground.
