Upset of the day came in the Wallasey Sunday League First Division, as Bromborough Town took the spoils versus title candidates Sheridans FC with a 3-2 victory, writes Tom Potter.

Goals from Dylan James, Max Littler and Jack Cooke took the points for Town, in a hard-fought fixture that saw Paul Greenwood and Jack Brooks bag the replies.

Taking advantage were JASGA FC who overcame PLCCFC with a 3-0 success in which Adam Walker, Paul Howell and Darren Pritchard scored to give them a three-point lead at the top of the division.

Moving into second place are Wallasey Wanderers following their battling 1-1 draw with Vale Athletic as Macauley Lathom netted a second half equaliser after Dean Wylde had scored for Vale.

Liscard Panthers secured a great 3-0 victory over Vineyard due to Dale Crawford, Liam Bell and Tom Warburton finding the net and Eastham Rangers Colts won their derby match against Eastham Rangers 2-0 with goals from Charlie Norman and Dillon Thomas.

The Wirral DFA Junior cup quarter final saw One O’Clock Gun win a titanic encounter versus Trident as the game swayed both ways and both keepers were kept busy.

Gun took an early lead through Leyton Clark, but a double blast from Jake Williams gave Trident the lead before Nathan Johnson levelled matters before the break. An excellent Wayne Gibbons effort won the tie late on for Gun in a game that could have gone either way.

Second Division Cup first round action saw North West Harriers progress with a fine 5-0 success over Bromborough Athletic thanks to a Ben Ryan hat-trick with Connor Reeves and Rory Woods adding singles.

Also through are Oxton Celtic following their hard earned 3-2 win over Ellesmere Port Red Lions, as Harry Sutton (2) and Connor Harris scored, with the replies coming from Tom Jones and Max Turviel.

Only one fixture in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division resulted in a 2-0 success for Wallasey Wolves as they defeated Shore Villa Athletic 2-0 thanks to Charlie Barker and Tom Brunt netting a goal apiece.
