Unitor AFC are still at the summit of the Chester & Wirral League Premier Division after goals from Danny Whitehead (3), Leon Jones, Derek Taylor, Vinnie O’Toole (2), John Mearns (2), Leon Bowker and Lewis Clarke earned them an 11-1 away victory to Upton JFC Youth.

Despite the unbelievable decision of Wirral Borough Council to call off their pitches on a beautiful autumn weekend the CWFL are pleased to report that all our other games were on.

Second placed Waggon & Horses had debutant Sam Buckley score in their 4-1 win over Chester Nomads III’s. Further goals from Caleb Rose, James Henry and Nahidur Rahman secured them all three points.

Blacon Youth also won 4-1 in their game at home against Runcorn Sports IIIs thanks to strikes from Damien Rowley, Charlie Cottis, Jack Rowland and Robbie Joinson.  

Hoole Rangers suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Higher Bebington Kelma whose goals came courtesy of an Andy Simpson hattrick and Jamie Balderton.

Fin Onwemene hit a consolation for Shaftesbury Youth as they went down 5-1 to Hooton with their goals coming from Ben Smith (2), Richie Feightman, Joel Whalley and Daniel Cross.

Black Horse won 2-1 over Neston Nomads Reserves with goals from Kynan Mason and Chris Davies. Cestrian Alex went down 4-3 to Helsby despite goals from Luke Peaker (2) and Will Kitchen.

Over in the CWFL Championship, Groves MKS hit three without reply at Great Sutton with strikes from Jack Kelly and a Lee Ludgate brace.

Helsby FC IIIs beat Hoole Rovers 6-2 - Adam Harding (2), Kostas Alexopolous, Graeme Search, Adam Randles and Ryan White their scorers.

Matt Harland, Phil Jones and Zacc Caveney (2) were all on target for Christleton in their 5-0 win over FC Duddon.

Johnny Rawcliffe hit a hattrick for Chester Nomads IVs but it was not enough as they went down 5-3 to Winsford Saxons whose scorers were Robbie Leigh (2), Zak Finnegan (2) and Dean Mundey.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division Three, Great Sutton FC Vets beat Crossway FC Vets 1-0.

At the time of going to press no result has been received from the game between Ellesmere Port Town Vets and FC Vaults Vets.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division Four, Sandbach Town FC Vets beat Rake & Pikel Vets 2-0.

Tom Cairns and Steve Davies were the scorers for Chester Nomads V Vets in their 3-1 win over Parkfield FC Vets.
