Cammell Lairds 1907 produced an injury time equaliser against high-flying Cheadle Town, extending their North West Counties First Division South unbeaten run to four matches.
A fairly even first half didn't see either keeper make a save and with Hulmston, Hulley and Paul Jewell dominant at the back, Town were were marshalled for long periods.
However, following some heavy tackles, Jewell had to be helped from the field with a badly damaged ankle injury and Dan Stephens made his entry into the fray.
The first half ended goalless, but an early setback came in the 47th minute when Town opened the scoring after what looked to be a foul on keeper Casey Shakeshaft, but despite protests the goal was allowed to stand.

Lairds went in search of a reply but were nearly caught out on the counter-attack, only for substitute Stephens to make a superb sliding tackle to prevent another goal.
With time running out Lairds had numerous corners and free kicks but failed to produce the killing touch until the 91st minute, when Cameron McGregor fired home an excellent free kick from 20 yards to leave the home keeper helpless and earn Lairds a deserved point.
