The top two teams in the Wallasey Sunday League Second Division served up a footballing feast in their final fixture that resulted in a 3-3 draw between Eastham Rangers Colts and Liscard Panthers.

But the division is still not won as Wallasey Wanderers can still finish top mathematically, if they score enough goals in the final fixture.

Colts took the lead through Dillon Thomas but Jason Stephens equalised for Panthers before the break.

Colts then took a commanding 3-1 lead with goals from Ben Lennon and Dillon Thomas and looked certain to finish above their rivals.

However, two late goals from Ricardo Royes and Dale Crawford levelled matters for Panthers in a game that ebbed and flowed throughout and in the final minute a magnificent penalty save by Panther’s keeper Harry Ross-Hughes denied Dillon his hat-trick and ensured they shared the points in this enthralling game, which was a fantastic advert for the league.

The final game for West Kirby United ended in a 6-2 victory over Trident courtesy of goals from Adam Pettitt (2), Flynn Kaye (2), George Davies and Josh Duncan, with Stephen Teale and Jake Williams netting the replies.

Two results from the First Division both ended in 5-1 victories. Bromborough Town went nap versus North Wirral Saints as Jack Cooke rifled a treble and Sonny James and Ricardo Pacheco added singles to complete their season.

Harbour FC also won 5-1 against Vineyard as Adam Walker claimed a hat-trick and Steve Wilson netted a brace to move them off the foot of the table. Tony Langrell scored for Vineyard.

Goals galore in the Mike O’Sullivan Garages Third Division saw Valle Athletic ease home 10-0 against NorthWest Harriers thanks to Harry Taylor (3), James Jeffries (2), Liam Kelly (2), Owen Reilly, James Chapman and Nick Lynch bagging the goals.

Also in scoring form were Vittoria Vaults who beat close rivals Oxton Celtic 9-1, as Shaun Burgess (2), Leon Jones (5), Jack Brookes and Liam Whelan found the net in a great team effort.

West Kirby United Whites profited from some defensive errors to earn a 5-1 success over Ellesmere Port Red Lions as an own goal and two goals apiece from Arthur Cooper and Jack Saturday did the damage. Steve Gerrard netted the lone response.
