A Jack Ledsham double allied to an effort from Ryan Coles completed the scoring, and it was a good day also for Ellesmere Port Town, who put paid to Shaftesbury FC, with Steve Rowlands (3) and Jamie Easton on target in a 5-2 victory.

Efforts from Liam Brennan and Ash Wardle gave Sutton Ath. a dream start against Mallaby who drew level through Mike McLean and Paul Ellison before a late winner from Lee Ludgate tipped the balance in Sutton's favour.

Newton went through after they overcame Poulton Vics 1-0 while Liam Fitzpatrick (3) and Lewis Cooper shared the goals, as Capenhurst Villa accounted for Neston Nomads 4-1.

On Saturday, Heswall avenged an earlier league defeat at the hands of Division Two leaders, Bootle St.Edmunds, by pulling the mat from under Saints in an entertaining Haworth & Gallagher Bowl 2nd round tussle at Gayton Park. Joe Ford struck twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Paul Lindfield, as the hosts posted a 3-1 result. Darren Clifford netted the visitors' consolation.

A solitary effort from James Hughes earned Litherland Remyca Res. the nod over Cheshire Lines while Mossley Hill Ath. made sure of their place in the last four, after goals from Sean Robinson and Matt Richardson clinched a 2-0 victory at Poulton Vics.
