The restart to the season saw all fixtures played on Thursday and Sunday and saw mixed fortunes for the first division leaders Poulton Vics.

They beat rivals Rockpoint FC 3-0 with goals from Jack Ledsham (2) and Benn Dunn, but then lost 2-1 against Bromborough Town (Sonny James & Rodrigo Pacheco) as Adam Chadwick hit their lone response.

This enabled JASGA FC to gain ground following their 3-0 defeat of North Wirral Saints thanks to a brace from Paul Howell and a single from Adam Walker.

Vineyard have won both their returning fixtures by beating PLCCFC 1-0 with Ben Hawitt scoring and then 3-1 versus Harbour FC (Adam Walker) as Ben Hawitt (2) and Bradley Wrench scored.

Eastham Rangers (Nathan Rowe and Sean Williams) also began with two victories when beating North Wirral Saints 2-1 and also took the points against PLCCFC (Adam McComb) in a 3-1 win that saw an own goal and singles from Jordan Crowder and Matty Ryan.

Two sets of results from the second division resulted in leaders Eastham Rangers Colts retaining their 100% record with an 8-0 defeat of Wallasey Wolves and a 2-1 success over Park Royal (Will Sass) in which Josh Moore and Dillon Thomas scored.

Wallasey Wanderers recorded two wins as they beat West Kirby United 1-0 thanks to Macauley Lathom netting and then took the spoils against Shore Villa (Jamie Smith) 4-1, as Connor Jackson (2), Ollie Lowe and Kia Jones found the net.

Eddie Fellows gained Trident four points after a 1-0 victory over Park Royal and then drew 3-3 with West Kirby United due to a Tom Mulryan double and a single from Stephen Teal. Adam Pettitt (2) and Josh Sutton bagged the replies for United.

Liscard Panthers stay in the promotion pack after beating Wallasey Wolves (Shane Brown - 2) 8-2 thanks to a Dale Crawford hat-trick, double from Curtis Ledsom and goals from Jack Nelson, Ben Abbott and Ricardo Royes.

Six fixtures in the third division saw Vale Athletic remain top after their 3-1 defeat of Vittoria Vaults as James Jeffries, Lewis Ward and Nick Lynch netted, but Vaults bounced back with a Sunday win over West Kirby United Whites (Arthur Cooper & Maddison Barber) 5-2 thanks to a Leon Jones hat-trick and solo’s from Dave Ollerhead and Liam Rose to keep them in the top two.

Ellesmere Port Red Lions gained two victories when defeating Rose & Crown Delta (Ian Duckworth - 2) 6-2, with goals from Matthew Roberts (2), Andy Supple, Steve Gerrard, Ashton Parker and Dominic Hoppe.

They then edged past Oxton Celtic in a 4-3 verdict courtesy of a brace from Nathan Saunders and one from Connor O’Hara, with Harry Sutton and Tim Hughes hitting the replies.

Oxton did gain the points in a 4-3 success over West Kirby United Whites in mid-week.
