Only three games survived the weather for clubs in The Houlihan’s Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League.
Most notable was Division One leaders Rivacre FC who defeated Premier Division side Rock Ferry Social who have a 100% league record. The game was in the Wirral Premier Cup first round with Rivacre running out 4-1 winners. Chris Dysart notched a consolation goal for Rock Ferry Social.
A great game took place in the Premier Division with Neston Nomads and FC Bidston sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Nomads goalkeeper Nathan Davidson saved a first half penalty only to be beaten by a late 87th minute spot-kick from James Atherton.
Neston had opened the scoring with a Paul Ellison effort.
Parkgate St Germain and AFC Park North traded goals and points in a keenly contested 1-1 draw in Division Three.
