St Saviours are stealing a march at the top of the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division but they had to fight all the way for their points this Saturday as their game with second placed Unitor ended 6-5 in their favour.

Vinnie O’Toole lead the scoring for Unitor with a brace followed by singles from Jamie Mearns, John Mearns and Dave Wallace. The Sav’s winners came courtesy of Carl McLeod (2), Mason Flavell, Adam Storton, Phil Quilliam and Tom Hockley.

Jay Ellis netted a consolation for Winsford Diamonds as they went down 6-1 to Ellesmere Port FC whose scorers were Lloyd Ithell (3), Alex Greaves (2) and Joel Walley. Sam Brownlow and Jack Sconce were on target for Upton JFC in their 2-0 away win at Shaftesbury Youth.

Sam Burgess (2), Jake Tong and Sam Davies all combined to earn Blacon Youth FC Reserves a 4-3 away win at Higher Bebington Kelma who had Andy Noonan (2) and Shaun Burgess on target. Cestrian Alex remain top of the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship A after another fine performance gave them a 3-0 win over Helsby Reserves thanks to goals from Aaron Rowland, Adam Crimes and Ashley Reed.

Joe Thompson, Lewis Coppack, Tom Edwardson and Ben Gale were on the scoresheet for Chester Nomads III in their 4-2 away win over Christleton FC.

In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship B FC Duddon are still top and flying high after their 4-2 win over Rossmore Rangers. The winning goals came from Martin Fitzsimons, a Ryan Cartwright penalty, Joe Clark and Arthur Brummitt. Andy Hughes and Lewis Cooney replied for Rossmore. Goals from Jamie Hurworth and Iain Colligan (2) sent Black Horse second in the table after their 3-1 win over Runcorn Social, Will Magee their scorer. Martyn Marshall, Jack Jones, Harrison Roberts and Ben McPartland were all scorers for Neston Nomads FC Development in their 4-0 win over Poulton Vics.

Henry Buckley was on fine form for Nags Head Bunbury FC Vets in their 5-0 win over Frodsham Park Vets in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 2. Buckley netted four times with a fifth being added by Paul Nicholas.

Iain Hughes and Dave Stockton earned Dee Rangers Vets a 2-1 win over Tarvin Vets. Upton JFC Vets beat Ashton Vets 3-0 thanks to goals from Ben Walley, Phil Cordell and Neil Zarac.

Ellesmere Port Red Lions Vets go top of the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 2 after an 8-0 win over FC Vaults Vets.

Crossway Vets went second with a 3-1 win over Great Sutton Vets with goals coming from Dave Megson, Ben Smith and Balazas Darnoi.

Winsford Diamonds enjoyed their first win in the CWFL with an away 2-1 win over Queens Park Vets. Goals from John Hurst and Chris Hutchinson ensured them the points with Andy Owens replying for Queens Park.

Midweek leagues round-up

In the CWFL Link Up Monday Night Flexi Division at Ellesmere Port Sports Village TRIC FC got their season off to a winning start with an 8-1 victory over Sutton Rangers with goals from Ellis Williams 3, Luke Williams 3, John Howley and Owen Walker. Klaudiusz Zaglewski hit the consolation for Sutton. Champ League Warriors also got off to a great start with a 7-1 win over Chester Lions.

At the CWFL Link Up Flexi Division Vauxhalls CM Ship Argyle made it 2 wins from 2 with a 3-1 win over Barnston thanks to strikes from George Patchett 2 and Nick Morley. Ryan Prandle replied for Barnston. Graham Dodd and Luke Chard were both on target for FC UBER in their 2-1 win over Southcroft Rangers.

In the CWFL Link Up Flexi Division Vauxhalls W Owen Ainscough 3 and Dan Ainscough were on the mark for Olympic FC as they beat AC Hoylake 4-1. Neal Thomas was the Hoylake marksman. In the nights final game Jay Lavery fired home for Tipografic but it was not enough as goals from Eden Gumbs, Keelan Densmore and Wade Muscart earned Halton Borough Town a 3-1 victory.
