In THE Chester & Wirral Football League Queensferry Sports Premier Division, St Saviours extended their lead at the top with a thumping 9-0 win over Winsford Diamonds, writes Paul Graham.

Luke Edwards lead the scoring with a hat-trick followed by Adam Storton (2), Phil Quilliam (2), Luke Hunt and Carl McLeod.

Second placed Unitor went down 5-3 at home to Groves Athletic. Liam Whelan, Adam Smith and Liam Casey were the Unitor marksmen with the Groves winners coming from Liam Smith (2), Jack Tidd, Ste Finlay and an own goal.

The game between Higher Bebington Kelma and Shaftesbury Youth was abandoned after 55 minutes with score even at 1-1 due to a serious injury to a Kelma player. Everyone in the CWFL wishes him a speedy recovery.

Cestrian Alex lead the way in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship A after a fine performance gave them a 6-0 win over Princes Villa thanks to goals from Aaron Rowlands (2), Mark Blake, Adam Crimes, Ashley Reed and Matty Gilmour.

Dan Burns and Josh Leach both netted a brace for Hoole Rangers in their 4-0 away win to Christleton.

Helsby FC Res drew 2-2 with Chester Nomads III with goals coming from Kostas Alexopoulos and Graham Search. Joel Harries and Macaulay Salter replied for Nomads.

In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship B FC Duddon are the new leaders after an own goal gave them a 1-0 away win to Waggon and Horses FC. Winsford Saxons and Rossmore Rangers ended in a 1-1 draw - Dean Mundy and Ian Johnson the respective scorers.

Matthew Baker was on target for Orange Athletic in the 6-1 defeat at the hands of Chester Nomads IV. Tom McDowell netted for Neston Nomads Development in a 1-1 draw with Poulton Vics Reserves.

Avenue Vets made it two wins in two in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 1 after goals from Danny Richards (2), Chris McGinn (2), Rob Courtney and Dotty Bolton earned them a 6-1 away win over Capenhurst Villa FC Vets. Antony Aston netted for the Cape. A JP Stanhope hat-trick earned Ellesmere Port FC Vets a 3-1 win over Higher Bebington Kelma Vets who had Wayne Hulse on target.

Despite leading twice, Blacon Youth FC Vets went down 3-2 to Neston Nomads FC Vets in a cracker of a game. Blacon goals came through Lou Mackin and Chris Herbert with the winners for Nomads coming from Lee Dunbar, Dave Massey and Nick Woodrow.
