Game week two in the Chester & Wirral Football League and it certainly did not disappoint, writes Paul Graham.

Winsford Diamonds welcomed in a new era as they debuted in the Queensferry Sports Premier Division in their first season with the league. They got off to an absolute flyer as they lead a seasoned Upton JFC 5-0 at half-time with goals from Mitchel Weedall (2), Jamie Ellis, Marcus Robinson and Zak Finnegan.

Upton had other ideas though and in the second half they just fell short of a memorable come back as the game ended 5-4 to Winsford.

Unitor made the trip to Cairns Crescent in Blacon and came away with a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Vinnie O’Toole, Michael Skillen and Paul Wallace. Dan Morgan was the Blacon scorer. Mason Flavell and Luke Edwards (3) were the marksmen for St Saviours as they beat Groves Athletic 4-0 in their local derby.

In the Olympic Trophies Championship A, Upton JFC Youth lead the way after their 5-1 victory over Christleton with goals coming from Sam Ismay, Jack Sconce 2, Mac Johnson and Josh Dymond.

Helsby Res had Adam Harding to thank for both their goals in a 2-2 draw with Shaftesbury Youth, who scored through John Carter and Steven Taafe.

Paul Joyner hit a hat trick and Ryan Bradbury added a fourth as Hoole Rovers beat Princes Villa 4-2. Stephen Lewis and Mark Hammo netted for Princes.

Chester Nomads III recorded their second 3-3 draw of the season. This time it was against AFC Park North. Cam Black (2) and James Lloyd netted for Nomads with the Park replies coming courtesy of Lee Doyle, Williams Byrne and Sam Price.
