Gerard King scored twice and Ryan Beigan also netted in the hosts' response.

In Division Two, Heswall were full value for their 4-0 success at Mallaby, confirmed by goals from Joe Ford (2) Scott Connolly and Matty Holt and it was celebration time for newly promoted Poulton Victoria, Danny Murphy, Lathan Forrester and Archie Walker obliging in a 3-2 win at West Kitby, who hit back through Alex Major and Ryan Smith.

Owen Cassidy was a two goal star for Mossley Hill Ath. Res., who won 3-2 at Litherland Remyca Dev. and Tom Kayll followed suit with two for South Sefton Borough who beat Maghull Res. 3-1.

Ben Sinclair bagged the game's only goal as Rainhill Town Res. triumphed at Ashville Res. and it was a good debut for Bootle St.Edmunds, Jordan Middleton, Steve Carrol, Lewis O'Reilly and John Scully applying the finishing touches in Saturday's 4-1 decision over Poulton Royal.

Elsewhere, Curtis Cummins and Tom Feeley were on the mark as South Liverpool Res. shaded Marine Res. 2-1.
