The weather has yet again played havoc with the local football fixtures, it is time to get out the blow football, football table (bar football), dust down those Subbuteo players or go online and play FIFA with your children.
The Houlihan’s Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League did have two teams playing against each other in The Wirral District Football Association Sunday Premier Cup 2nd Semi Final. Current holders Dock AFC won through to the final after defeating Lancelyn Glenavon in a high scoring 7-3 contest.
Ricci Neil lead the way for Dock with a treble, supported by a brace from Adam Lea, plus further singles from Dave Forbes and Cam McGregor.
Replying for Lancelyn were Danny Dixon with a double and a Craig Yeulett strike. Dock will now face Division One high-flyers Beechwood in the Final.
