The only fixture to take place in the Wallasey Sunday League was the Magee Cup 1st round tie between JASGA FC and Nelson FC which produced a seven-goal thriller, with the latter sailing to victory in a 4-3 success, writes Tom Potter.
Darren Pritchard opened the scoring for JASGA before Callum Morrison levelled but Dava Finnigan restored the lead before Josh Davies hit an equaliser.
Andy Cooke then netted a brace to put Nelson 4-2 ahead before Darren Pritchard scored again to make it a nail-biting finish.
Both teams meet again next week in what promises to be an eventful league fixture as they chase the divisional title.
JASGA currently sit at the top of the tree on 21 points, two points ahead of Upton.
Nelson are currently fifth on 13 points, but with a game in hand on JASGA and will be looking to close the gap at the top.
Rockpoint top Division Two with a 12 point lead.
