Local soap actors will take to the pitch to compete in a charity football match - the final to be held in memory of a Wirral man.
Stars of popular television programme Hollyoaks will face a Paul Woods XI at Ashville Football Club in Wallasey on Sunday April 26.
The teams will be competing for the Paul Woods Memorial Cup, raising money for the British Heart Foundation. In addition to the match a number of other activities and events are to be laid on, including a bouncy castle, Mandi’s Kandi Sweet Store, a face painter, raffle, spot the ball, half time show from TRIC stars dance club and a DJ providing music all day.
The event is held in memory of former Taekwondo club owner Paul Woods, who died in December 2016 from dilated cardiomyopathy - which results in an enlarged heart that cannot pump blood effectively. £2 entry on the day. Kids free.
