Barnston PV produced the result of the day in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division inflicting a first defeat on Eastham Rangers Colts in a battling 3-2 victory that saw singles from Ben Abbott, Jack Nelson and Jason Stephens, writes Tom Potter.
Rockpoint FC continued their march to the title when beating Delta Colts Parkfield 8-1 with goals from Josh Hatton (4), Ben Ryan, Danny Allen, Jason Rigby and Stuart Hardman, with Frank Ward firing the lone response from a stunning free-kick.
The game between Shore Villa and Wallasey Wolves was abandoned due to a suspected broken ankle injury as Wolves led 5-2 with goals from Joe Shelmerdine (3) and James McAlinden (2) and Villa had James Outram as their two-goal marksman.
The only game to play in the No 4 Pacific Road Bistro First Division resulted in Eastham Rangers sharing six goals with Poulton Vics as they fought out a 3-3 draw. A double strike from Joe McGee and a single from Karl Barker helped Vics to close the gap at the top to three points.
