HESWALL were full value for their 4-0 victory over Newton Athletic in Saturday's Cheshire County FA fourth round clash at Gayton Park.

The West Cheshire Division Two leaders celebrated the win, thanks to a double from Kierran Hughes, with Sott Connolly and Joe Ford, also on the mark.

Division One outfit Vauxhall Motors Res. also progressed after Louis Gorman and Jamie Eaton bagged the goals in a 2-0 result at Broadheath Central, and Chester side, Upton AA, got the nod when Chris Coughlin (2), Joe Ormerod and Lee Guiardo netted in a 4-2 success at Altrincham Reserves.

On the minus side, it was curtains for Ellesmere Port Town who capitulated 4-1 at home to Lostock Gralam.

On the domestic scene, Alex Woodcock and Cam Dalton scored the goals which set Division One leaders, South Liverpool up for a 2-0 win over Ashville.

Long-suffereing Neston Nomads were grateful for a point after Stephen Djedje, Paul Ellison and Jamie Gardiner obliged in a 3-3 stalemate at Rainhill Town while South Wirral neighbours Capenhurst Villa savoured a single goal victory at Redgate Rovers.

Despite doubles from Owen Hough (2) and Shaun Smith, Marshalls went home pointless after Mossley Hill Athletic emerged 5-4 victors, courtesy of replies from Joe Hornby (2), Kieran Moran, Tom Blundell and Mike Fearneyhough.

In Division Two, Ethan Sheen and John Morgan scored for Prescot Cables Reserves who eroded Heswall's lead at the top to a single point after they won 2-1 at Ashville Reserves.

A smart double from Adam Smith anchored third-placed Mersey Royal to a 4-1 triumph at Maghull Reserves and Aintree Villa sustained their title push after they won 5-0 at Mossley Hill Athletic Reserves, with goals from Tom Jump (2), Josh Cavanagh, Steve Andrews and Francis Hargreaves.

Cheshire Lines and South Liverpool Reserves finished 0-0 while South Sefton Borough, with goals from Liam Van Gelder, Mark Barnes and Connor Stockwell accounted for Mallaby 3-0.

A solitary effort from Steve Carroll was all it took, as unbeaten Division Three leaders, Bootle St Edmunds won at Capenhurst Villa Res and extended their lead at the top to ten points.

Form side Poulton Victoria toasted their eighth win of the season, two goal Stewart Jackson leaving his calling card in the 4-0 eclipse of Chester Nomads Res.

Tila Davies hit both goals as West Kirby Res beat Willaston 2-1 and Paul Appleton followed suit with two goals for Rainford Utd. who overcame Ellesmere Port Town Res. 4-2.

An Elliot Musa penalty won the day for Marshalls' Res. at Neston Nomads Res. and honours were shared when Helsby finished 1-1 with second placed Marine Res.

Saturday's Youth Division action saw leaders, Vauxhall Motors U18s make it nine wins from ten starts thanks to a 2-1 decision over title rivals, Lower Breck U18s, all-scoring came from own goals.

Despite a goal from Harry Monaghan, Bootle U18s were sunk by a five goal salvo from Litherland Remyca U18s Elliot Taylor. Further strikes from Angelo Ojukwu, Mike Johnson and Rhys Maurer completed the 8-1 rout.
