THE final fixtures before the festive break were again disrupted by bad weather but four games did play and saw the rearranged First Division Cup 1st round game between Poulton Vics and Phoenix FC decided by a last-minute Lewis Wright goal that gave the Vics a hard fought 1-0 victory.

Two fixtures in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division saw Vineyard climb into second place following their 3-0 success away against Park Royal as James McClennan, Tom

Mole and Jack Dunne got on the score sheet.

West Kirby United recorded a battling 2-1 victory over Wallasey Wolves to maintain their mid-table position thanks to Adam Pettitt netting a fine brace of goals with William Adams bagging the lone response.

The only game in the No4 Pacific Road Bistro First Division resulted in a ten-goal thriller that saw Bromborough Town relinquish a 3-1 lead to lose 6-4 versus Upton FC who have drawn level on points with their opponents. Scoring for Town were Joe Skinner, Joe Cooper (2) and Ethan Tellett, with the replies for Upton coming from Liam Cairns with four, Nathan Rose and David Harrison in a storming comeback effort.
