FOR the 12th consecutive week the weather played its part with most games in the Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League with only three matches surviving the waterlogged pitches.
Goals were plentiful in all three clashes that took place.
A mid-table clash in Division Two saw Wirral FC take three vital points and call the tune with a 4-2 success at Oval FC (John Skipsey 2).
Finding the net for Wirral were Ash McCoy, Tom Byrne, Tom Williams and Tom Wilson.
A brace from Matt Holt supported by efforts from Iain Colligan and Mario Balakchek for FC Tranmere who moved into the promotion positions with a 4-1 result over Barcode FC.
Queens Park moved into pole position at the top of the Premier Division with Mike Burke leading the way with a superb hatrick.
Also on the scoresheet were Liam Driscoll, Craig Griffiths and Ben Holmes after inflicting a heavy defeat on Lancelyn Glenavon 6-2.
