NEWLY-promoted Oxton Ladies 1s continued their solid start to the season in North Division 3 with a 4-1 win over Urmston L1s.
Oxton were the first to strike through Captain Lucy Jamieson. Oxton then dominated and it was 2-0 at the break thanks to Carrie O'Callaghan, who slotted home from short range after some nice work from Nat Hallam on the right hand side.
Urmston grabbed a goal back early second half to put some pressure on the home side but some great defending and battling from Grace, Debbie, Sharon and Maisie prevented a determined Urmston side from levelling.
Lucy Jamieson secured the three points with two more goals to wrap up a successful afternoon of hockey, bagging herself another hatrick in the process.
