SUTTON Athletic were the big scorers of the day with a stunning 10-1 win over Christleton FC in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division.

Lee Ludgate lead the scoring with a hattrick with Peter Barnett, Connor Doyle and Daniel Woodcock adding a brace apiece.

An own goal completed the scoring and a day that Christleton will want to put behind them, Harvey Bennion was their scorer. Blacon Youth Reserves put out a strong side against Groves Athletic and produced an 8-0 win with goals from James Henry (4), Joe Thompson (3) and Connor Reynolds.

Shaftesbury Youth had to rely on their Reserves side to step up and fill the void in personnel in their Premier Division game with Higher Bebington Kelma and they did not disappoint.

The young guns produced an assured performance winning 5-3 with goals from Connor Sandham (3), Steve Large and James Osbyrne.

Shaun Burgess and Josh Griffith replied for Kelma.

Helsby Reserves travelled to Cestrian Alex and came away with all three points after a thrilling encounter that earned them a 4-3 win.

Goals from Lee Turkington (2), Wes Riley and Connor Anderson secured the win with Tom Richardson, Luke Peaker and Adam Crimes scoring for Cestrian.

In the only game played in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship goals from Sam Price (2), Sean Hyland and Karl Dobbs earned AFC Park North a 4-1 win over FC Duddon who had Johnathan Hallam on their scoresheet.

Hoole Rangers were given a win after Shaftesbury Youth failed to raise a side due to a shortage of players.

Avenue Vets are still unbeaten in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division One.

They beat Tarvin Athletic FC Vets 9-2 with goals from Danny Edwards (4), Andrew Bolton (2), Chris McGinn (2) and Gary Jones.

William Armstrong was the Tarvin scorer with two.

The game between Capenhurst Villa FC Vets and Ellesmere Port FC Vets ended 4-4 with the Villa goals coming courtesy of Phil Strapp, Chris McCready and Carl Ngiam.

Dave McNeil scored for Higher Bebington Kelma FC Vets but it was not enough as they went down 3-1 to Blacon Youth FC Vets 3-1 who had Paul Armour (2) and James McIntosh on the scoresheet.

James Thompson and Kev Leech scored for Neston Nomads FC Vets in their 2-2 draw with Upton JFC Vets.

It was also cup day for some CWFL sides competing in external competitions. Ellesmere Port FC pulled off a great win in the Wirral FA Amateur Cup by beating West Cheshire outfit, Ellesmere Port Town FC Reserves 2-1.

In the Northern Cup Rossmore Rangers beat Burscough 3-1 with goals from Ryan Bowyer, Tom Fletcher and Charlie Jones.

Upton JFC Youth needed penalties to see off Poynton in their tie after the game was tied 2-2 at full-time.

Princes Villa and Unitor were both awarded wins after their opponents failed to field a side.

Crossway put up a brave and determined performance away to Shropshire County Division One opposition in Milton UTD FC, losing a very respectable 5-2.
