THE all-Wallasey tie in the Wirral DFA Amateur cup resulted in Nelson FC progressing into the semi-finals courtesy of a hard fought 3-2 success over Bromborough Town who led twice with goals from Joe Skinner and Kal Herbert.

But replies from Callum Morrison, who netted a brace, and Steve Rutter earned Nelson the victory.

In the Capitol Cup first round Wallasey Wanderers found their way into the next round with a 6-0 defeat of Park Royal as Callum Jackson netted a treble, Harry Griffiths a double and Ollie Lowe completed the scoring with a penalty.

Upton FC had to battle hard to earn a 4-3 success over West Kirby United as Karl Dobbs (2), Liam Cairns and Ryan Thompson found the net, with Josh Sutton, Adam Pettitt and Brady White replying for United.

A hat-trick from Stewart Speed allied to a double by Dan Price and singles from Jay Davies and Steve Kelly saw JASGA FC enter round two following their 7-2 win over Eastham Rangers who had Sean Williams and Martin Marshall bagging their goals in an under strength team.

Only two fixtures in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second division took place but saw plenty of goals as leaders Rockpoint FC beat a very young Shore Villa team 15-2 thanks to both Stewart Hardman and Josh Hatton hitting four goals each and Ben Ryan bagging a treble with Dan Allen hitting a brace and Ray Hoey and Jason Rigby netting singles.

Firing the responses were Dan Beckett and Matthew Payne in a spirited performance. Also scoring double figures were North Wirral Saints who beat a below strength Upton Youth 12-0.

Trident progressed in the Wirral DFA Junior cup following their 3-2 defeat of West K United due to efforts from Caston Ball, Josh Francis and Mike Davies.

Despite goals from Ryan Day and Josh Dehenin Eastham Rangers Colts lost out to Neston United 4-2.

MSC Eastham failed to field a team versus Vineyard who now progress to the next round.
