THE weather yet again was the biggest winner for the seventh consecutive week.
All domestic games were postponed.
Three important games did get played, affecting teams from The Houlihan’s Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League.
Dock AFC played hosts to a very good side HT Sports FC taking the honours in Football Association Sunday Challenge Cup 4-3 after extra time.
It was a very close game, despite both teams being reduced to nine men.
Hayden Cooper, OG, Cameron McGregor and Dave Forbes registered the goals.
In The Cheshire County Football Association Sunday Challenge Cup, Queens Park made an away trip to George & Dragon and claimed a fine win over a class team 4-2.
On the scoresheet for the Queens were Leon Detlaff with a brace supported by efforts from Mike Burkey and Tom Quinn, with all the problems with VAR officials in top levels of football.
The three match officials were a credit to themselves and Cheshire FA.
Despite efforts from Vinny O’Toole with a double supplemented by further strikes from Derek Taylor and Matty Maguire for FC Bidston it was not enough to dip out to a very strong Willaston White Star.
