IN an all Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League clash, Beechwood FC faced FC Tranmere in The Wirral District Football Association Sunday Premier Cup round two tie.

A brace from Mitchell Duggan and a further effort from Jamie Manifold sealed a fine win at FC Tranmere.

Woodchurch Rovers secured a place in round three of The Wirral District Football Association Sunday Amateur Cup after a comfortable 7-2 win over Poulton Vics.

They will be joined in the hat by MSC Eastham (Brandon Thomas 2, Brandon Martin, Joe Keenan) who saw off the challenge of fellow league rivals Glenavon Athletic.

Rangers Breaks dipped out 6-1 at Eastham Rangers Colts.

A four-timer from Lewis Willingham for Queens Park was enough to take maximum points against FC Bidston (Paul Wallace, Derek Taylor, Jacob Smith) 4-2 and elevate themselves into second spot in The Premier Division.

Bushell Grange Athletic (Leon Jones 2, Leon Bower) traded goals and points with Birch Tree in a 3-3 draw.

Oval FC (John Skipsey, Michael Simpson, Kristiyan Cholakov) recorded their first league win of the season over strongly-fancied Eagle Stirrup FC (Jamie Parker, Stuart Davies) in Division Two.

Stephen Rothwell and Ryan Wardle found the net for Paolos in a local derby contest with Barcode FC (Andy McIver) to take the spoils and go 10 points clear at the top of the Division.

Higher Bebington JFC (Jamie McColl, Seb Trowler, Josh McKinney, Josh Jacobs and Matty Callahan) maintained their good form accounting for Wellington FC (Joe Kelly) in Division Three to stay within touching distance with the league leaders.
