FOR the third time in four weeks Queens Park FC locked horns with close rivals Dock AFC.

Each clash was in different competitions.

The latest match was a league encounter with Queens taking a 1-0 lead via Leon Detlaff, but Dock AFC equalised through Matty Carlin to share the points with Dock dropping their first points of the season.

In the Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League Premier Division, Rock Ferry Social registered their second league win with a narrow 3-2 success over fellow strugglers Birch Tree FC.

Neston Nomads leapfrogged back into pole position in Division One after Luke Blondel hit a superb four-timer and a single strike from Adam Watson to secure the points after a 5-3 win over Ellesmere Port Athletic (Ryan Nicoll 2, Chris Georgeson).

In a local derby thriller Paolos served up another goal feast in Division Two - thanks to Reece Kerr bagging four goals and a hat-trick from Ste Rothwell supplemented by singles from Ryan Wardle, Anthony Riggs and Alex Clare - with a splendid 10- 2 result against Oval FC (John Skipsey, Rob Blackwell).

A brace from Scott Frogatt added with further efforts from Matt Holt and Rob Wood for FC Tranmere over Wirral FC (Owen Kelsey) in a clash in the bottom half of the table to take the points with a 4-1 scoreline.

Just one game in Division Three survived the waterlogged pitches with Eastham Rangers Jets running out 1 -0 victors over Higher Bebington JFC.

The Eastham side and Higher Bebington both swap places with the Jets moving into second place.
