ST Saviours regained top spot in the Chester & Wirral Football League's Queensferry Sports Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Christleton.

Elton Athletic started off their busy week in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship with a 4-0 win over Princes Villa.

In the same division Groves beat Rossmore Rangers 2-0 and Orange Athletic had a 3-1 win over AFC Park North.

Wednesday night action in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division saw Ellesmere Port FC beat Shaftesbury Youth 3-2 while Higher Bebington Kelma and Upton JFC drew 2-2.

In the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship Elton Athletic beat Christleton Argyle 3-0.

On Friday night, CWFL side Helsby FC were on the wrong end of a 6-0 scoreline against Blacon Youth FC in the final of the Cheshire FA Amateur Cup.

Helsby have had a fantastic run in the cup but came up against an inform Blacon who were too good on the night.

On Saturday, Christleton FC put a dent in the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division title aspirations of Newton Athletic after a Dave Carman goal gave them a 1-0 victory.

Ellesmere Port rounded off their league season with a 4-4 draw against Upton JFC whose scorers were Tom Berry, an own goal, Chris Brett and Danny Evans.

Elton Athletic rounded off their busy week in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship off by beating AFC Park 8-0 with goals from Warren Kelly (2), Simon Whelan, Jonathon Egerton, Dean Disley, Mark Richards and Dan Nixon.

This was Elton's third game in six days and moves them into second place in the division. Johnny Lancaster (2), Mason Cartwright and Niall Evans were all on target for Rossmore Rangers in their 4-2 win away to Hoole Rovers.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division East Tarvin Athletic keep up the pressure on leaders Upton JFC Vets with a 3-2 derby day win over Ashton Vets thanks to strikes from Sean O'Rourke, Rob Edge and Mike Jones.

Steve Whittaker hit both of the Ashton goals.

Farndon Vets remain third after their 3-2 win over Nags Head Bunbury Vets.

Over in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division West Avenue Vets beat Ellesmere Port Town Vets 10-1 with goals from Andy Bolton (2), Greg Stones (2), Les Gibson, Chris McGinn, Ray Redmond, Terry Cotgrave, Danny Edwards and Kev Bimpson.

Dale Gilmartin hit a brace for Blacon Youth Vets but it was not enough to stop them going down 3-2 to Higher Bebington Kelma Vets who had Greg Beasley (2) and Shaun Burgess on the scoresheet.

In the Semi Final of the Runcorn District FA Cup Orange Athletic lost to St Michaels FC 5-0.
