HEYGARTH FC had to thank Dayne Murphy and Steve Forbes to secure a place in the final Of The Tony Houlihan League Memorial Challenge Cup after extra-time at Saughall FC (Danny Whitehead) who had to struggle through most of the game with 10 men.

The final is currently scheduled for Sunday, May 12 at Ashville FC (2pm kick off). Their opponents will be Queens Park FC.

Telegraph FC also had a narrow win over Neston Nomads with a 2-1 success in the semi final of the David Tacy Cup. On the mark for Telegraph were Daniel Kendall and Scott Wright,

Nathan Crabtree, with a brace supported by efforts from Ste Morris, Adam Lea and Adam Hughes, earned Rock Ferry Social a place in the Invitation Trophy Final, after beating Great Float Sports & Social 6-1.

It's semi finals still. This time its Beechwood FC who had hat-trick hero Tom Quinn in The Tony Smith Memorial Cup who inflicted a 3-0 defeat on CAD Athletic and they will meet Corsair FC in a local derby Final on Thursday April 25 (7pm kick of) again at Ashville FC.

Finding the net for Corsair were Brad Greer, Jason Bull, Sam Hewitt and Mark Brady with a resounding 4-0 scoreline at South Rangers Athletic.

Wirral FC (Ryan Davies (2) and Phil Palethorpe) secured their place in the semi finals of The Joey Griffiths Invitation Cup notching up a 3-1 win at Victoria Colts (Kyle Sallis).

A man-of-the match performance from Liam Rose claimed a fine treble for Birch Tree was supplemented by a Kieran Hamm strike to see of the challenge from AFC Shaftes (C McElroy) 4-1 to claim their place in the Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday Association Football League Invitation cup semi finals.

League action saw Dock AFC take all three points against Queens Park (James Law) to make it a three-way tussle for the Premier Division Title. An own goal, Mark Jones and Dean Nunn strike was enough to take the honours 3-1.

Dock lead the table on goal difference from both Heygarth FC and Queens Park FC.

Dock and Heygarth both have one League game remaining, while Queens Park have two matches to play they are all locked on twenty nine points each points.

There has been some adjustment to the league table after Cheshire finally adjudicated a couple of problems from the beginning of the season.

Lancelyn Glenavon made it 10 straight league wins in Division One and are the only team in the league to remain unbeaten and they also have a 100% record.

This week they had a comfortable 6-1 win over New Ferry Rangers, thanks to Ben Glover with a hat-trick.

Further efforts from Gino King, Craig Yuellet and Jake Whittaker completed the scoring.

Shaftesbury Youth (Liam Davies Tyler Smith, Sam Upton) head the table and have an outside chance of promotion after posting a firm 3-0 result on Ellesmere Port Athletic.

Bushell Athletic (Jamie Parker (3), Leon Jones, OG 2) registered a 6-3 win at Lions FC (Ricky Harrison, Ash Male and Mike McKay).

A local derby took place in Division Three with second-place Paolos (Matty McEvoy, Callum Darby, OG) served up and delivered maximum points to take top spot 3-0 over Heswall rivals Barcodes FC, FC Tranmere (Adam Walker, Dave Sadler 2) accounted for MSC Eastham (Liam Whelan) 3-1.
