NEWTON Athletic have forced their way back into the CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division title race with a fine 4-2 away win at leaders St Saviours.

Ben Woodman marked the victory with his 100th goal for Newton with the other goals coming from Mark Moorefield (2) and Dan Christianson.

Jack Sheppard hit both for the Sav’s.

Cestrian Alex ended their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Shaftesbury Youth. Adam Crimes and Mark Blake ensured the points for Cestrian with Mike Watkins replying for the Shaft's.

Princes Villa move third in the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship after their 3-1 win over Chester Argyle.

Jay Brown netted for Argyle.

FC Duddon Utd beat Orange Athletic 3-0.

Nick Matthews hit a hattrick for Hoole Rovers in their 3-3 derby day draw with Hoole Rangers and Rossmore Rangers beat AFC Park North 10-1 with goals from Tom Evans, Amien Hafsi 2, John Brittain 3, Jonny Lancaster 3 and an own goal.

In the day's other game Higher Bebington Vets were beaten 7-3 by Avenue Vets whose scorers were Danny Edwards (4), Andy Bolton (2) and Lee Gibson in the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division West.

All the other games were postponed due to the weather.
