AVENUE Vets and Ellesmere Port Town Vets will be contesting the Wirral District FA Junior Cup Final this year after both teams won their respective semi final ties.

Avenue clinched their place with a 5-2 win over Capenhurst Villa Vets while Ellesmere Port Town needed penalty kicks to separate them from Neston Nomad Vets. With the game finishing 3-3 after extra time the Port side won the kick out 4-2.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division West Blacon Youth Vets beat FC Vaults Vets 7-2 with goals coming from Mike Ryan (3), Neal Birch, Chris Larsen, Simon Saunders and Josh Jones. Ian McCann and Robb O'Keefe replied for the Vaults.
