THE teams for the final of the Capitol Cup were decided when Poulton Vics hit PLCCFC for a six as they ran out 6-0 winners with Graham Edge (2), Lewis Wright (2), Craig Pallister and Jordan Winstanley bagging the goals in this semi-final success.

They will meet Halfway House who drew 0-0 with Eastham Rangers, but won the penalty shoot-out 5-4 in a very even encounter to earn their final spot.

Action from the First division saw Nelson FC move to the top following their 2-0 victory over Liver View thanks to a goal apiece from Callum Morrison and Alex Vile as they remain unbeaten.

Upton FC went nap against St Andrews United as they eased home 5-1 with goals from Liam Kenny, Liam Williams, Zak Woods, Karl Dobbs and David Winstanley to keep them in the top four.

Barnston PV edged further away from Runcorn Select after beating them 2-1 in this Second division encounter courtesy of efforts from Ricardo Royes and Reece Orton.

North Wirral Saints finished strongly versus Vineyard and secured a 5-2 success with goals from Lewis Connelly (2), Sam Platt, John Holden and Ben Parsons and bagging the responses were Mike Mooney and Liam Hayes.

Groves FC cemented their place at the top of the Dundee Youth division due to their 4-2 victory over Eastham Rangers Jets as both Connor Doyle and Connor Howley netted doubles, but hitting the replies was Jordan-Lee Major with a fine twosome.

In the Grove Youth division Upton Youth added three more points to their tally when beating Higher Beb JFC 4-0 and have two games left to secure the title.

On target for them were Brendan Doherty with a brace and Charlie McDowell and Dave Marrin who netted singles.

ACA Sports lost their third semi-final on the trot when going down 3-1 versus a strong St Helens Town youth team in the LCFA youth cup.
