NEWTON Athletic are new leaders of the Chester & Wirral Football League's Queensferry Sports Premier Division, taking full advantage of the called-off game between St Saviours and Sutton Athletic.

Goals from Danny Eaton, Ben Woodman and Adam Pownall guided them to a 3-0 win over Higher Bebington Kelma.

Shaftesbury Youth remain fourth, only four points off the leaders with a game in hand after their 2-1 win over Upton JFC.

With the game looking like it was ending in a 1-1 draw Tom Hodson popped up with a last kick of the game winner to supplement Ryan Pleavin’s earlier goal.

Josh McEwan netted for Upton. All other games in the Premier Division were called off due to waterlogged pitches.

Crossway increased their lead at the top of the CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship to nine points after a 5-2 away win over Hoole Rangers.

Greg Campbell lead the way with three followed by Matty Leedham and Phil Goss.

Nick Smith, Johnny Platten and Marco Apollonio all scored for Chester Nomads III in their 3-2 win over FC Duddon who had George Gregory and Tom Roberts on the scoresheet.

Elton Athletic beat Hoole Rovers 3-0 with goals from Billy Sammut, Dan Nixon and Adam Brawn while Rossmore Rangers recorded a 6-2 win over Eastham thanks to strikes from Amien Hafsi, Tom Fletcher, Jonny Lancaster, Tom Evans, Mark Jones and John Britain.

In the day's shock result AFC Park put in a dominating performance to secure only their second win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Princes Villa.

The plucky side from Birkenhead were rewarded for their resilience with goals from Tyler Graten and Addy Bottley to earn all 3 points.

In the CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division West Avenue Vets continue their domination with a 8-2 win over Blacon Youth Vets.

Les Gibson lead the scoring with 4 followed by Danny Edwards (2), Les Cotgreave and Rob Courtney.

FC Vaults Vets recorded their first point of the season, drawing 2-2 with Higher Bebington Kelma Vets thanks to goals from Ian McCann and Dave Connor. Jonny Sumner netted both for Kelma.

In the CWFL Link Up Monday Night Flexi 11s at Ellesmere Port Whitby XI and TRIC drew 2-2 while Ship Argyle beat Chester Lions 3-0.

At the CWFL Friday Night Flexi 11s at Vauxhalls North West Brom picked up their first point of the season with a 0-0 draw against high flyers El Porto. FC Poulton Vics beat Kingston 2-1.

Over at the CWFL Friday Night Flexi 11s Woodchurch Division Newcomers Bromborough Rake beat last seasons champions Wirral Allstars 1-0.

Over at Orford Jubilee 3G Centre in the Warrington 11s Lads N Dads beat Two Hats 7-0 and Shoreham Sabres beat Red Star FC 4-1.
