DIVISIONAL Cup competitions took the stage in Wallasey Sunday League, although bad weather accounted for four of the ties.

In the Division One Cup Round One PLCCFC stumped St Andrews' hopes of progressing with a fine 3-1 victory, with goals from Lewis Noynes, Anton Jollie (penalty) and an own goal.

Tom Kemp replied for the Saints.

Liverview could only field nine players and Poulton Vics claimed a 3-0 victory, thanks to a superb hat-trick from Ben Winstanley.

The other two ties fell foul of the weather.

In Division Two Cup Round One action, Vineyard FC sprung a two-pronged attack against Trident, winning 2-1, thanks to goals from Greg Connor and Alex Moody with the sole response coming from a Matty Madden penalty.

Halfway House turned the corner with a 4-1 win against Eastham Rangers Colts with goals from Dylan James, Joe Cooper, Kal Herbert and Alex Ramsay.

It proved a bridge too far for Runcorn Select, who went down 4-1 at Eastham Rangers, who had scorers in Martin Marshall (2), Keiran Hodgson and a Jordan Crowder penalty.

NW Saints tie fell foul of the weather.

The Youth Division Cup Round Two action saw Higher Beb JFC brought down to earth losing 4-1 at Grove Rovers, Jamie McColl scored their consolation, with Jack Woods, Matthew Hickman, Ben Marray and Ryan Hughes scoring for Groves Rovers FC.

Park Royal FC were dethroned at home to Delta Colts Parkfield FC in a 3-0 defeat, with Delta's goals coming from Ethan Moreton and a brace from Lewis Ward.

ACA Sports game was postponed.

The only League game scheduled to be played was in the Dundee Youth Division, but this game was also postponed.
