Sadness befell the league with the news of the death of long serving stalwart Jerry Clinch.

A spokesman for the league said: "Jerry was part of the inaugural season and served the league as a player, manager and chairman during his long association with the league.

"He provided leadership in all his roles and will be sorely missed.

"The thoughts of all the league and league committee go to his family at this sad time."
