DOCK exited the first round of the FA National Sunday Cup after dominating the first forty five minutes going a goal down by half-time, Campfield FC then showed their class by hitting two more in the second Half to run out 3-0 winners.

The Tony Houlihan Memorial Challenge Cup second round took centre stage with a couple of giant killing results.

In an all Division Three clash a solitary goal from Adam Chwalko was enough for Victoria Colts to see off the challenge of promotion hopefuls Woodchurch Rovers.

Lancelyn Glenavon, from Division One, had a narrow 2-1 win at Premier Division FC Bidston thanks to Ben Glover and Gino King finding the net, Ellesmere Port (Nicky Monaghan, Chris Georgeson).

Athletic claimed their place in the third round after being involved in yet another close game this time at FC Vineyard (David Walmsley).

A hat-trick from Shaun Parrington, supplemented by a Lawrence strike, was enough for Great Float Sports and Social to sink Wirral FC 4-0.

Also making progress were Neston Nomads (Rob Marrs 2, Jack Lloyd, Rob Cottrell) and South Rangers Athletic (Mike Parsons, Ben Ryan, Bedel-Zan-Bi) who beat Stirrup Sports & Social (James Evans, Jonathan Roberts) and Oval FC (John Skipsey 2) 5-2 and 4-2 respectively.

A second cup-tie also finished with a 5-2 scoreline when Beechwood (Mike Purnell, Tyler Neill) took a deserved 2-0 lead only to be pegged back just before the half-time break to 2-1.

Lions FC stepped up a couple of gears and roared home 5-2 with Jerry Ainsworth, Gary Myers, Ricky Harrison, Matty Kerr and Ameel Al Gamri all finding the back of the net.

Shaftesbury Youth (Sam Upton, Owen Hassall, Paul Greenwood, Luke Baugh, Ben Malone), secured their place in the quarter finals of The Presidents Cup after posting a fine 5-1 win over Telegraph FC (Liam Jameson.

One outstanding game from the first round of the Tony Smith Memorial Trophy saw a comfortable 9-0 win for Upton Town (Tom Murphy 3, Tom Ward 2, Callum Mernock, Lewis Hallum, Matty Crawford, Alex Pitt) over FC Vaults.

A four-goal haul from Stuart Jackson and further strikes from Ben Holmes, Liam Driscoll, Adam Smith, Danni Kelly and Leon Detlaff for Queens Park In The Premier Division inflicted a heavy defeat 9-3 at Birch Tree FC.

Heygarth FC stay in pole position after a comfortable 5-2 win at Rock Ferry Social on the mark for the Eastham outfit were Carl Boyd with a brace, supplemented by strikes from Kieran Hughes, Steven Forbes and Lloyd Ithell.

The only game in Division One saw a solitary goal from J Smith for AFC Shaftes to claim a narrow victory at New Ferry Rangers.

Corsair (Jason Bull 2, Brad Greer, Leon Clarke, Ian Duckworth, OG) take spot in Division Two with a far superior goal difference after a resounding 6-0 success at Franklyn FC who dropped their first points of the season.

Rangers Breaks got back on par with all three points at AFC Tima (Stuart Davies 2) thanks to double from Chris Caress, Scott Christenson scoring from his own half and Dave Dutfield completing the scoring.

Next week’s fixtures will be dominated by the second round of the Cheshire Sunday Cup.
