Tributes have been paid to Paul Davey; an excellent skilful footballer who also took up the whistle and black kit for many years.

He managed within the league and was a well-respected gentleman in local soccer circles.

He always had a smile on his face when playing and refereeing and will always be remembered for his love of football.

Our condolences go to his wife Sharon and sons Steve and Lee, as well as all his family and friends at this sad time.
