JASGA PV leap-frogged inactive Nelson FC as they delivered a first defeat on Poulton Vics in a six-goal thriller to go top of the First division.

Hitting the net for the green and whites were Stewrat Speed, Mike Scullion, Dava Finnigan and Adam Walker, with the responses from Jack Ledsom and Dan Banicale in an excellent fixture.

Liver View saw their way to recording their first victory of the campaign with a 2-1 success over St Andrews United, thanks to a goal apiece from Simon Parsonage and Adam Kinnear, with Matthew Threlfall bagging the only reply.

PLCCFC also claimed their first win when bowling over Queens Liscard with a 4-1 victory in which Brett Fitzsimmons notched a brace of goals and George Craven and Sean Woods bagged singles with Dion George netting the consolation for Queens.

Only one game in the Second division saw a three-pronged assault by Trident, who put in a sparkling performance to overcome Vineyard 3-0.

Netting the goals were Josh Overing, Steve Teale and team secretary Dom Punchard which now puts them top.

The youth section of the league commences next week and it is hoped all teams will adhere to the new rule of providing the opposition with photo ID before kick off of their selected squad.
