IT is the time of the season known as the business end when the silverware is won.

A two-goal salvo from Mark Jones was enough for Dock AFC who had to fight all the way in the whole 90 minutes to sink Great Float S&S (Lee Hammond) 2-1 in midweek to be crowned Premier Division Champions.

It was a game to much for AFC Dock on Sunday with a 3-0 reversal in the Cheshire County FA Sunday Cup.

Woodchurch United defeated rock ferry social with a narrow 1-0 win over League rivals Rock Ferry Social in a keenly- fought contest in the Wirral District FA Sunday Premier Cup Final.

In The Wirral District FA Amateur Cup Final Birch Tree lifted the trophy winning 5-4 on penalties that took place in midweek after both teams were locked at 2-2 at the final whistle.

It could be the first of a superb treble for Birch Tree who have a domestic Cup Final on Thursday (May 3) in the President’s Cup.

They are also in the hunt for the first Division title after a 4-2 success over Lions FC, (Gary Myers, Ameel Al Gamri) with a superb overhead effort from Kieran Hamn supported by strikes from Adam Coulls, Dave Leslie and Liam Rose to go two points clear in pole position.

In the second of the League's Cup Finals AFC Houlihan’s came from behind to beat Shaftesbury Youth after extra time in The David Tacy Cup thanks to strike from Liam Casey and Dega Taylor.

Other action in Division One saw Swan FC (Jay Marsden) share the spoils with PSV (OG) in a 1-1 draw, while promotion hopefuls Bushell Athletic (Craig Mills, Player Manger Danny Wood with a superb touch and finish, Jamie Parker), registered a fine 4-1 result.

Division Two action saw promotion chasing Telegraph drop two vital points for the second consecutive game 2-2 in midweek with strikes from Anthony Daniels and Danny Price against South Rangers Athletic and Ellesmere Port Athletic (Jay Shuttleworth) 1-1 on Sunday on the mark this time was Gary Winders.

There are still four major contenders for the Third Division Trophy most notable is Wirral Radio who had Matt Lydiate leading the way who plundered four of the goals.

Adam Woods notching a brace and a single from Dan King with a 7-1 success at Rangers Breaks, Stirrup S&S (Paul Davey (2), Philip Hudson (3), James Evans) accounted for Bierhaus (Scott Billington2) 6-2 and MSC Eastham (Keith O'Toole (3), Laurence Whelan, Chris Howell) defeated Barcodes (Ben Hallam 2, Liam O’Neill) 5-3.
