DESPITE the loss of games again due to sodden pitches a number did take place and produced goals galore in the Grove Youth division.

Glenavon Athletic kept up their title challenge when flying past Allport Hawks in an 8-0 success that saw both Leighton Clarke and Owen Rowlands net doubles and Matt Benson, Mike Campbell, Jack Mountsford and Lewis McBurney all added singles to keep them joint second.

Above them on goal difference and with games in hand are Higher Bebington under 17s who had a 12-goal encounter with Eastham Rangers Colts and rode out 8-4 winners thanks to Rob Golightly bagging a treble and Bob Evans along with Steve Harrison netting twice and Lewis Gandy soring the single.

Ryan Wright collected a fine hat-trick with Matthias Alphonso a single as they scored in reply.

Irby Youth remain top after dousing Phoenix the Flames in a double figure success with Ryan Morris, Alex Weston and George Wild netting most of the goals.

The only game in the Dundee Youth division saw leaders FC Phoenix open up a four-point gap at the top following their 6-1 victory over Eastham Rangers Youth.

On target were Adam Walker (2), Ollie Lowe (2), Harry Holt and Tolgar Hassan with Stewart Davies grabbing the consolation in a well-fought contest.

Halfway House stumped the cup final ambitions of PLCCFC as they fought back to record a 5-3 Dutchman Cup semi final success and reach their second final of the season.

An excellent fixture saw the score change hands a few times as Sean Woods (2) and Matty Keogh netted for PLCCFC, but claiming the victory goals for Halfway were Dillon James (2), Andy Simpson, Alex Ramsay and Dan Leighton.

Poulton Vics progressed into the semi finals of the Magee Cup as they produced a 4-0 broadside to sink Nelson FC and will now entertain Upton Town in the last four.

Finding the net were Craig Palliser with a brace of goals and Andy Beaver and Steve King added one apiece to complete the victory.

All teams are reminded yet again that they must adhere to the changes in fixtures and make every effort to get games played, especially the cup games so as competitions can progress.
