DESPITE being in the early part of Spring some games were lost due to the weather including The Wirral FA Sunday Amateur Cup Final, Wirral Radio sent out strong signals in the David Tacy Cup disposing of PSV Athletic in a fourth round tie with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Adam Woods and Danny Cross.

In the Tony Houlihan Memorial Challenge Cup saw Heygarth United (Lloyd Ithell, Richie Freightman, Adam Bagley and Danny Cross) and Rock Ferry Social (Hadyn Cooper and Chay Dysart) progress to the next round with a 4-2 and 2-0 wins over New Ferry Rangers and AFC Houlihan's respectfully Dock (Danny Dixon, Steve Owen) maintained their pole position in the Premier Division after a 2-0 success at Neston Nomads.

Second-place Queens Park had Dave Webb with a fine treble supported by an effort from Dave Bowe with a 4-0 result over a Woodchurch United, while West Kirby FC (Kieran Donoghue (3), Robbie Williams, Christian Lewis Colin O’Hanlon) took maximum points at Shaftesbury (A Adam) 6-1 Shaftesbury Youth (Lewis McKnight, Tom Hamm) put a dent in Millhouse's (Jake Prescott Tom Quinn) chances of promotion from Division One with credible 2-2.

Swan FC romped home to a 10-0 win with Matty O'Shea leading the way with a four goal salvo supplemented by a hatrick from Roc Carey, a Brace from Scott Hoather and a single from Gareth Craven.

A double each for Liam Jameson and Daryl Hellon for Telegraph took them five points clear at the top of Division Two with a fine 4-2 scoreline over FC Vaults (Peter Henderson & Matthew Walker).

Poulton Victoria Youth (Sam Hewitt, Leon Clarke, Nick Tregear had a narrow 3-2 result with South Rangers Athletic while Bogan's Carpets accounted for Bromborough Park 3-2. 

The only Game in Division Three saw Oval FC (John Skipsey, Aaron Searson, Paul Ricci) register maximum points 3-3 over Victoria Vaults.

The Houlihan's Birkenhead Sunday Football League is now accepting new applications to join for the 2018/2019 season.
