ONLY two fixtures survived the continuing bad weather as many games were postponed due to waterlogged pitches yet again with most teams asking the same question – when is the council going to provide playable pitches for teams who pay their fees in advance of expecting to be able to play?

In the only game to complete in the Second division Eastham Rangers warmed up for their Wirral DFA cup semi final by netting four times in the second half to stump the challenge of PLCCFC and run out 4-0 victors.

On target for Rangers were Martin Marshall with a fine hat-trick and Drew Taylor added the extra to complete the success.

Best wishes are extended to Eastham Rangers for next week’s semi final fixture in the hope they carry the league banner into the final.

No fixtures took place in either the First division or the Dundee Youth division but one game did complete in the Grove Youth division as Eastham Rangers Colts rode to a 3-2 victory over leaders Irby Youth who at one point led 2-0, but finding the net in the comeback were Andy Grice, Harry Baldwin-Brown and Ryan Wright in an evenly fought encounter that spoke volumes of the quality within this division.

Seacombe GT FC Have resigned from the league and as they did not complete 75% of their fixtures all their results are expunged as per rule 12 (D) and the table shows the changes.

Primrose FC may also withdraw from the league due to player problems associated with the Cheshire FA, but this matter will be clarified within the week.
