FOR a baby girl born in delivery suite 11 at Arrowe Park Hospital on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year there was only one name that she could be given – Poppy.
Weighing in at 9lb 11oz , Poppy was due to arrive on Monday, November 7, but held out to be delivered at 1am on Armistice Day.
Adam Glascott, Poppy’s proud father, said: “We’re absolutely made up with her, we didn’t know whether she was going to be a boy or girl, so it was a nice surprise.”
Mum Clare Henderson said: “We had a list of boys and girls names ready and Poppy was one on the girls' list.
“I started going into labour on Wednesday so when she was born on the 11th there was only one real choice.”
