I WOULD like to point out to people that it appears to be a complete waste of time putting in a complaint about Arriva Buses.

Their customer service is not worth the wait on a telephone line for.

In October a bus failed to stop on Borough Road and thus left a number of school children late for school.

I complained to Arriva and had a letter back stating that the driver is unaware of the incident, therefore case closed.

Due to the failure to stop, my son lost out on his award for excellent attendance as his school will not accept any excuse for being late.

When the same thing happened in November, I phoned Arriva again. The lady answering was ever so polite and understanding.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm my first impressions as the promise of a return call about the problem has still yet to materialize.

Lo and behold, three kids are late for school on Tuesday due to, you guessed it, the same bus failing to stop.

I wouldn't mind but the bus stop in question has a big shelter attached to it and if that is not enough maybe the waving of arms of people standing by it, should alert the doziest of drivers.

Phoned Arriva again, and I am still waiting for a response.
