MOST people say they would do anything for a charity and when it comes to the crunch go through with their particular challenge.

So how does the thought of walking along a 15-foot path of broken glass grab you? The Jellybean Appeal is looking for brave people to do just that as part of a fire and ice-walking challenge planned for Saturday April 29 at the Cherry Orchard Pub in Arrowe Park.

Glass walking is an ancient discipline of yoga and the martial arts. Depending on how brave you are, you can either walk on glass or fire or both. The methods have been hidden from prying eyes in order to promote magical myths about those people fortunate enough to share in the secret 'knowledge' - the initiated few.

Apparently, walking on glass demands slow, focused moments of extreme concentration and all those taking up the challenge will have a thorough training session beforehand from the event's organisers, Blaze.

A fire walk for the appeal in November drew a huge response from readers and the Jellybean team hopes April's event is just as successful.
