ALTHOUGH not engaged in league action this week, the Cheshire Oaks' top players continued to show their strength in the Cheshire Open, where they swept the board by taking all the titles.
Alan Clarkson led the charge with wins in the men's singles, men's doubles and the mixed doubles with club partner Gill Dabek. Helen Davies snapped up the other two events, winning the ladies' doubles, and beat Anna Wilson (Wallasey St James) in the ladies' singles final, building on her excellent quarter-final appearance in the English National Championships earlier this month.
