NESS Botanic Gardens won a coveted Gold medal at the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show.
In association with the Alpine Gardens Society and their designer, Christopher Grey-Wilson, Ness also contributed to a display in the famous giant marquee.
It attracted professional gardeners, amateur enthusiasts and lay people with the exuberance of the colourful array of mountain and woodland plants arranged in a collection of over 20 huge stone troughs, over half of which came from Ness on loan.
Also on display were some of Ness's well-weathered blocks of Welsh Tufa, each carefully planted with the jewels of the mountain, creating a naturalistic effect along with pools, raised beds and paved areas, which combined to create the display which won the highest accolade - the Gold medal.
